Carla premieres "La Guitarra" by Barbara Wesby
Barbara Wesby’s new song cycle, La Guitarra, based on poetry by Federico García Lorca, will
be premiered on Sunday, November 16, 2008 at 3:30 PM at the Unitarian Church, 312 Filmore
Street, Staten Island. The piece is part of a concert of Spanish music presented by Pro
Musica performers Carla Wesby, soprano; Georgette Ionesco, flute; and Ed Brown, guitar.
The work is sponsored in part by an Encore grant from COAHSI. Tickets are $10; seniors $5;
and students with ID free.
